What is the ‘scope’ of a management system?

The reason for determining the management system scope is to define its boundaries in a way that helps the company to meet requirements and achieve the intended results of the system.

Defining the scope is a process:

Context + Interested Parties = Scope of management system

The scope needs to be documented and appropriately controlled, such as within a quality manual, website or standalone document.
