Do I have to have a management system for every standard?

A management system is exactly that – a systematic way to manage your organisation and achieve defined objectives. An organisation only needs 1 management system. Note that I am not calling it a ‘quality’ management system, or ‘environmental’ management system. It should be a ‘business’ management system.

The system should ‘look’ like the organisation. It shouldn’t look like any standard. The requirements of the standard or standards are then built into the system.

You can integrate as many standards into a single management system as you wish. You may also want to do the same for any frameworks that are applicable tot he company, such as ACHILLES.
