Are we Certified or Accredited?

When you have successfully achieved a standard such as ISO 9001, you become certified, rather than accredited.

Accreditation is an independent assessment that ensures certification bodies (such as NQA, BSI, etc.) have the technical competence and integrity of impartiality to deliver credible certification services. In the UK, UKAS is the sole national accreditation body recognised by the British government to assess the competence of organisations that provide certification, testing, inspection and calibration services.
